Our staff is committed to providing the upmost care and service to the beloved pets that have unconditionally loved you and your family.

Cherished Memories is a third Generation Company in funeral home and cremation services care and a second generation in the care of your pet loved ones.

Cherished Memories was founded by Sandy Williams in 1995.  Sandy was a licensed funeral director and the youngest of son of Dick Williams of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home.  In earlier times, it was not uncommon for families to bring their pets to a funeral home for cremation services.

In the early 90s, due of the demand for these specific types of services, Sandy decided he would establish Cherished Memories Pet Cremation Services. He believed that pets of all types were truly a part of the family. Over the next 10 years, Sandy visited and met all of the animal hospital/veterinarian clinics—from Jacksonville to Tallahassee to Orlando.  In many cases, Sandy was the first of his kind— most veterinarians at this time had never had anyone offer individual pet cremations for their clients and patients. 

Sandy worked very hard to provide a service that reflected the values of family, compassion and tradition. Cherished Memories was doing exactly what Sandy had always wanted it to do—providing individual cremations to families for their pets, and doing it with the love and compassion your family would expect if it were any other family member. 

In November 2005, Sandy Williams passed away unexpectedly and passed the company on to his sons, Charles Williams and Michael Williams. 

Michael said: “My father would have been proud of the services we are providing. He loved pets, and the people who love pets, as we do!  Our staff is proud to carry his tradition and we use his philosophy in the decisions we make every day.”

The family-owned business is currently managed by Becca Glenn and her team of dedicated employees. Becca and the Cherished Memories team strive to provide compassionate and personal service to help people through the extrememly difficult process of losing a beloved pet.
